Creative Business Services
I help creative practitioners streamline the 'business stuff' so you can focus on what you do best—creating.
Feeling overwhelmed by all the "business stuff" that comes with running a creative small business? Struggling with the money side of things or losing sleep over your finances? Maybe your business is growing and you’re not sure how to adjust or where to focus next. Or you’ve got a ton of ideas, but you're stuck trying to decide which one to tackle first.
Whatever the challenge, I’m here to help you find harmony between creativity, operations and financial viability, ensuring your business thrives without compromising your artistic vision.
Things I can help with:
Business Health Check – Diagnosing the root cause of your business challenges
Money Matters – Making sense of your financials or helping with pricing strategy
Strategy Development – Creating and implementing business strategies and plans, and general guidance on how to work more strategically than reactively
Market Insights for Growth – Using your understanding of customers, competitors and trends more strategically; identifying new product/service opportunities
Operational Efficiency – Optimising how you spend your time, who does what and improving business processes
Prioritising creativity – Helping you find the right balance between your creative practice and the business stuff, so you don’t lose the joy
Why do creatives
work with me?
I grew up in a household full of creativity—spending my childhood in graphic design studios and fine art spaces. I’ve always had a love for textile arts and I’m often sewing, weaving, making jewelry and starting (but not always finishing) all kinds of creative projects.
After getting my BA in Fashion Design from RMIT, I kicked off my career in the fashion industry, then transitioned into the for-purpose/social enterprise world. Over the years, I’ve worked with a number of creative social enterprises, helping them grow, streamline their operations and build businesses that are both impactful and sustainable. I currently work for The Social Studio (part-time), in a strategic role responsible for growing the social enterprise arms of the organisation.
I hold an MBA from Melbourne Business School, which has given me the business smarts to help all kinds of creative businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profits thrive.
With my mix of creativity and practical business know-how, I’m down-to-earth, empathetic and really good at listening. I’ve got an eye for the small details, but I can also zoom out and look at the bigger picture. My favorite thing is helping creative practitioners find that sweet spot between creativity, business and making sure everything stays financially solid.
